Individual Therapy

At Inner Workings Individual Therapy is designed from a 'what works' approach. Research has demonstrated that there is no single therapeutic technique that is more effective than others, but that having a collaborative relationship and a treatment approach that is a good fit does increase the amount of improvement experienced by clients. During therapy your progress will be monitored so that the treatment can be adjusted if required to ensure you are making progress. Your therapist will check in with you about your experience of the treatment so that any barriers can be addressed. A range of therapeutic approaches can be used depending on your presentation and needs. These approaches include: CBT, ACT EMDR, ST, SFT. More information about these can be found here Therapeutic Approaches

Common presentations that are worked through at Inner Workings include Mood Disorders such as Depression and Bi Polar Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Substance Use Disorders and Trauma related problems. If you are having difficulty with relationships, struggling or unsatisfied in some way, please reach out as psychological labels don't always adequately describe peoples situation.
